elcome to my new blog. If you came here looking for the old site, you'll notice that there are a few changes here. Actually, lots of changes...important ones so that hopefully my friends and clients can get to know a little bit more about me and my work. So here's a little background:

A few years ago, I was given what was an opportunity of a lifetime; the chance to work with a world-class team of photographers. I was drawn to their innovative style and forward-thinking mindset, and it was from there that our team and my passion for photography grew...and grew. Everyday since has been a learning experience for me, and photography continues to be a huge part of my life. I hope you enjoy this new site and feel free to leave your comments anytime. - Ryan

Loulu Palm Estate

WHEN:

WHERE:
North Shore, Hawaii

SINGLE IMAGES...I wanted my new blog to have a completely different feel than the last one, where I used to post series of entire events. Some of my blog followers are probably wondering why I often choose to showcase on this new site, a single image in my entries. Mainly a personal choice, I enjoy sharing images that stand out to me...that show the individuality of each couple's wedding day experience. If you'd like to see more images from this wedding, you can visit the Visionari post HERE

Lately however, I've been getting a lot of questions about a private venue located on the North Shore called Loulu Palm estate.

So I thought that this would be the perfect time to share a series of images I captured on Amy and Brian's wedding day, which took place at the estate. While I'm only posting a few images, I'll let you know first that I will have more to share with you from this wonderful venue in the near future.

Earlier this year, the Visionari team had the opportunity to shoot the Pacific Weddings Magazine fashion layout at Loulu Palm. To see some of those images, click HERE.

This place has become increasingly popular with local and destination weddings because of its spaciousness and location on the North Shore. These are just teasers, but I promise, with all of the inquiries and bookings we are getting about this space there will be much more photos coming up on this blog of Loulu Palm.

Loulu Palm Estate: Amy and Brian

WHERE:
North Shore, Hawaii

There are so many great places to shoot at Loulu Palm Estate. The intimacy of the venue and perfect evening weather allowed us the opportunity to capture these images of the bride and groom. Thank you Amy and Brian for allowing us to capture such perfect moments of your day.

Shoes

WHEN:

WHERE:
Loulu Palm Estate, Oahu

Anyone who knows my wife, knows that she has a thing for nice shoes. Every time I come back from a shoot she asks, "but what was the bride wearing?" (ie. what did her shoes look like) I asked her to help me pick out some shots from a recent wedding, and guess what she chose...no surprises here. LOL...

Maui Celebration

09.12.09

WHEN:
8/21/09, 2:35PM

WHERE:
Hyatt Regency Kaanapali, Maui

Sokkie and Sunny celebrated their wedding day with a small destination event at the Hyatt Regency Maui. Located on the shores of Kaanapali, the property itself is enormous and provided us with some great places to shoot portraits of the couple.

It never fails however, that on the first day of 5 back-to-back weddings for me, one of my cameras fails (AGH!)--which makes me realize how important it is to always have those extra camera bodies on hand.

Finishing Touches

08.20.09

WHEN:
7/30/09 3:18 PM

WHERE:
The Fanger Estate, Hauula-Oahu

This was my first time shooting at the Fanger Estates located in Hauula, Oahu. Everything was running late that day--blame it on the traffic mess that snaked around the North Shore. But with family and friends helping to get all the details in order, Laurie and Michael's wedding continued on without a glitch. While she got ready, the bride's mother quickly ironed the dress to perfection.

Just moments before the ceremony, the bride takes a few minutes to relax and enjoy the day ahead.
